Upstate South Carolina Lakes Region Newsletter
March, 2009
Greetings!
Anderson area home values are on the rise. According to the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Anderson County home values have increased over 3% since the fourth quarter of 2007, the 16th highest increase nationwide. Reasons for the rise include realistic pricing, consumer confidence, and relatively few foreclosures.
A growing population is also working in Upcountry South Carolina's favor. In the past few years, over 400,000 people have moved into South Carolina; the U.S. Census Bureau estimates that the state will grow by another 1 million people by 2020. One third of these newcomers are expected to move into the Upstate. This will result in good long-term growth over the next few years.
Take advantage of the current market conditions. Abundant inventory of properties, historically low interest rates, Federal tax incentives, buyers' market benefits, and the tranquillity and beauty of the Upcountry should convince you to take a look at our extraordinary area.
Respectfully,
