Upstate South Carolina Lakes Region Newsletter

February, 2008

Greetings!

The Upstate South Carolina Lakes Region and Blue Ridge Mountains Foothills continue to be discovered by folks from all over the U.S.A. Our beautiful countryside is mostly rural, yet very accessable and is serviced by Interstate 85. Atlanta, GA is a two hour drive. Atlanta's Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) population is over 5 million people. Charlotte, NC is a two hour drive; its MSA is 1.6 million people. Greenville, SC, less than a hour away, has a MSA of 1.2 million. These regions' people and others want their get-a-ways and little dream castles in the country or on the lake. Demand will contribute to escalating property values.

The "boom" has not happened here yet. You can find raw land/acreage at prices that would be considered very reasonable anywhere in the United States. Housing costs are 7-8% below the national average. South Carolina has one of the lowest per capita tax rates in the country, according to the U.S. Bureau of the Census.

Being four hours from the Atlantic Ocean coast, you can easily arrive for lunch. Hurricanes are not factors in our locale, thus expensive homeowners' storm insurance is not an issue.

Please consider the Upstate for a quiet retreat, investment opportunities, or a place to call home. Take a look at "for sale" listings here before others buy them. Let me help you in discovering a unique, unspoiled corner of the world.

Respectfully,
